What FactorPrism® Is
FactorPrism® is a Snowflake Native App that finds the factors behind a metric change, locates where each one acted, and quantifies how much each contributed. The app turns that result into a Finding people can investigate and monitor; the API returns the same measured factors to SQL, tasks, pipelines, and agents. Your data stays in your Snowflake account.
Why We Built It
Every data team has experienced this: a metric moves, leadership wants to know why, and an analyst spends the next several days writing one-off SQL to find the answer. By the time they have it, the moment has passed and someone is already asking the next question.
Dashboards show where a number stands. Pivots and one-off queries test only the cuts an analyst thought to ask for. Even a simple factor can hide at an untested level; a factor that exists only at an intersection cannot be isolated from separate one-dimensional views. FactorPrism® was built to search the relevant levels and intersections together and return a measured explanation that ties to the reported change.
